The Cohen bros movies is sometimes spoofed in Friendship is Magic. It's no non stop action movie so be prepared to use tour brain a lot. Adult Written by moviefanatic August 14, They typically overshoot it 1 or 2 ages, but this one was a big surprise. There are comedy movies like Airplane with far more innuendo and even sexual scenes then Fargo.

Fargo does have brief nudity but it's not too bad it's just very brief male nudity and buttocks nudity and it's not sexual. Then there's the one sex scene, it's the worst part of the film but it's very easy to skip. It contains no nudity and only some thrusting. You can tell what's going on but it's not too bad, I do recommend skipping it though. Other than that it does have a fairly dark plot dealing with murder and con artists. But everybody bad ends up getting punished and it has a really good message much kids don't hear nowadays.

It's definitely worth watching if your kid already knows what sex is and has seen R-rated violence in their life.

Read my mind. Depends on the Kid There are 3 things in Fargo which make it "Inappropriate" for some children. First there's the language, this is the aspect of most R-rated films which is bound to be included. Next there's the sex, this is the part most parents are worried about, but to be honest it's not that bad. There's one sex scene it's not graphic and no nudity is shown, it's also very skippable, if you skip over it you should be fine.

And to be honest most kids over 12 already know all about sex so they probably won't be asking any questions about what you skipped over. After the sex scene there are one or two remarks regarding it but they're not important to the storyline and for the most part are played for comedy. Finally there's the violence, it's normal for an R-rated crime movie to have violence and with the video games kid play nowadays it's really not too bad, especially because in the video games the kids are the ones doing it.

Fargo also does look down on this violence and the villains do end up getting punished so there's no need to worry about it being glorified. Other than that there are a lot of funny moments in this original movie and it's defiantly worth watching. Adult Written by Niffler16 June 26, There are deaths all the time, but also sex.

This is a film that is absolutely not made for sensitive young children. Adult Written by Jesse T June 24, Adult Written by Lov April 23, I have decided to watch Excellent movie. Oh yeah, you betcha, they sure did. I would hardly call Fargo a thriller.

Just because a movie has thrilling scenes doesn't make it a thriller. With all it's letdowns, Fargo is still a quirky, charming movie with great performances, They really beat the whole Minnesota thing to death, yeah?

With all it's letdowns, Fargo is still a quirky, charming movie with great performances, interesting cinematography and an atmosphere that hugs you and then shoves you down a woodchipper. Nazgulero Jul 6, This movie won two Oscars The movie never can decide if it wants to be a comedy or a thriller.
